Murph Aucamp

Grammy nominated drummer/percussionist Murph Aucamp has proven himself as one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. From orchestral duties to leading salsa bands in his native South Florida, Murph has enjoyed the freedom that comes with being a diverse musician. He has toured internationally with trumpeter Brian Lynch, performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, and backed up an array of legends such as Quincy Jones, Julie Andrews, and John Williams. A graduate of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, Murph has shared the stage with true Miami icons including Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, and Michael Tilson Thomas’ New World Symphony. His theater credits include an original production, Tectonic Theater Project’s “Carmen: An Afro- Cuban Musical” with music by Arturo O’Farrill, as well as performing Off-Broadway in New York City’s long running Blue Man Group production.
Murph is currently based in Miami and New York City.
