Jeff Carswell

Jeff is an accomplished bassist, playing 6-string fretted, fretless and piccolo basses and String Bass. He played bass with the Ross and Levine Band, a ground breaking jazz fusion group and recorded with Mickey Carroll, Randy Bernsen, Dion, Julio Iglesias, The Ross and Levine Band, Jimmy Dorsey and His Orchestra, Eric Hansen, Alih Jey, Braulio, Shakira, The Jaco Pastorius Big Band and numerous other artists.

The many touring Broadway shows Jeff has performed with include: Wicked, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Anastasia, Mean Girls, Beautiful, Billy Elliot, West Side Story and many others.

Some of the regional musicals he played with include: Beauty and the Beast, In The Heights, Momma Mia, Chicago, Forever Plaid and others.

Jeff performed with The Atlantean Driftwood Band at “The Jazz on The Green” jazz festival, for many years. Some of the artists they performed with include: Bob James, Jaco, Stanley Turrentine, Tom Scott, Brecker Brothers, Randy Brecker, Eliane Elias, Toots Thielemans and Ira Sullivan.

Jeff performed on the Latin Grammys live broadcast from Miami, with Kelly Clarkson and Alexandre Piras. He also toured with the Jaco Pastorius Big Band in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. The performances included the North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival Japan, the Winter NAMM, The Montreal Jazz Festival and Blue Note Japan.
